For a good disinfection of the pool water to take place, it is necessary to have the pH value adjusted between 7.2 and 7.6, with 7.4 being the ideal value. It is recommended to measure the minimum pH level once a week. Maladjustments in the pH cause greater consumption or ineffectiveness of disinfectants, corrosion of metals, lime incrustations, turbidity in the water and affect the comfort of the bathroom causing irritation to the eyes, skin and mucous membranes of the bathers.
