Alkalinity regulators

Alkalinity regulators

Total alkalinity (TA) indicates the amount of alkaline components (carbonates, bicarbonates and hydroxides) dissolved in pool water. Alkalinity plays an important role as a regulating effect on pH changes (pH buffer).

Correct alkalinity improves the pH stability of the water, i.e. if the TA is too low, the pH can undergo significant fluctuations.

The recommended TA parameter is between 100 and 150 ppm. It is recommended to measure the alkalinity at least once per season, with the spring set-up.
